Abstract

This article examines the impact of membership in the World Trade Organization on the inflow of foreign direct investment in transition economies, using the case of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The study analyzes the role of trade liberalization, institutional reforms, and improvements in investment attractiveness in attracting foreign capital. Particular attention is paid to evaluating current reforms and state policy measures aimed at improving the investment climate. The research also formulates scientific and practical recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of attracting foreign direct investment in the context of Uzbekistan’s integration into the global trading system
